CT TIGERS
Thank you for visiting the Connecticut Tigers fastpitch website. The Tigers organization operates under President Steve Markie. The Tigers organization was established in August of 2001 to provide a fun and enjoyable experience for young softball players. The Tigers organization strives to develop each and every player while improving their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Coach Steve Markie
- Steve Markie is the current head coach at Newington High School. He has been the coach at NHS since 2000. Steve currently coaches the 14U and 12U teams.
EXPERIENCE
Steve has been with 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U age levels within the CT. Tigers Organization.

Coach Tom Verrengia
Tom was the Head Coach of Conard High School for 22 years before retiring from his position in 2016
EXPERIENCE
Tom has coached on the 14U, 16U, and 18U level with the CT. Tigers Organization.
Coach Sean Sweeney
Sean was the head coach at Windsor Locks High School from 2015-2020 and prior to that was the head coach at Fermi High School in Enfield, CT.

Sean has been a coach on many different levels 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U within the CT. Tigers Organization.
